Is DSI SGS certified, and can I get the test report?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our pure nickel strip, copper strip, Cu-Ni and Al-Ni composite busbars and stamped nickel sheets are tested by SGS against the material and dimensional requirements agreed on the drawing. The report covers nickel purity, thickness tolerance, tensile strength, electrical resistivity, salt-spray hours and RoHS / REACH restricted substances. An SGS report can be issued per lot or per shipment on request, at no extra cost for repeat orders.

Question 2

Do you accept OEM and ODM orders for battery connectors?

Accepted Answer

Both. OEM means we manufacture exactly to your drawing — your material grade, thickness, hole pattern, plating and packing, with your logo on the label. ODM means you give us the cell type, pack layout and current target, and our engineers design the holder pitch, nickel strip pattern, busbar stack and shell structure before building the progressive die in-house. Tooling is owned by the customer once it is paid for.

Why are your nickel strips and busbars cheaper than European or Japanese suppliers?

Accepted Answer

Because the whole chain is in one plant in Dongguan: coil slitting, progressive stamping, die-cutting, plating and final inspection. There is no trading company margin between you and the press, no outsourced tooling queue and no re-shipping between vendors. Dongguan also sits inside the densest battery supply chain in the world, so raw nickel, copper and insulation arrive within days.

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom nickel strip or busbar?

Accepted Answer

For a new custom die the typical MOQ is 500-1,000 pieces per thickness and per pack pattern, depending on strip width and material. Standard pure nickel strip coils and our Easy Buy kits start from one box. Small trial batches are accepted before a mass production order so you can weld-test the part on a real pack.

How fast can I get a sample of a new battery connection part?

Accepted Answer

A new progressive die takes 7-12 days including first-article inspection. If your pattern matches an existing e-bike pack such as Hailong, Parrot, Silver Fish or Dorado, we can cut samples from current tooling in 2-3 days. Coil strip in standard thickness ships from stock.

Which markets do you ship battery structural parts to?

Accepted Answer

We ship worldwide from Shenzhen and Guangzhou ports, with regular volume to Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, India and the Middle East. Export packing, material certificate, inspection report and HS code documents are prepared as standard for every shipment.
